Altogether there are fourteen departments in the faculty. Having been established in 1997, the faculty, with its relatively large number of departments, a strong and dynamic academic cadre, and modern educational and research facilities, has secured a reputable position in a very short time.  Among the five faculties of Atılım University, the Engineering Faculty has nearly half of the students and the academic staff of the university. With its 39650 square meter  indoor space on the university campus, it is the largest faculty of Atılım University.  It also acted as a pioneering institution in  Turkey for the establishment of  a Center of Excellence on Metal Forming in 2009.

In addition to its regular bachelor’s degree programs, the departments of the Faculty provide minor and double-major programs. In conjunction with the Institute of Applied and Natural Sciences, the Faculty runs Graduate Master of Science Programs (with or without thesis) and an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program on Modelling and Design of Engineering Systems (MODES).
